The challenge

  • The client is a publicly funded autonomous university and one of the oldest institutions in Singapore.
  • With over 5,000 staff and 40,000 students, it had implemented SAP to manage its activities, with SAP BW for reporting.
  • Integration with SAP BusinessObjects was challenging because of the university's unique requirements.
Solution

What we did

  • To overcome the integration challenge, we proposed upgrading the SAP BusinessObjects platform to version 4.x.
  • Integrated SAP BW with BusinessObjects seamlessly.
  • Provided alternative solutions where the integration could not meet business users' expectations.

What changed for the client

  • The university's team can access SAP BW data from the SAP BusinessObjects platform, which laid the roadmap for future enhancement of the platform.
